A blog to share ideas/experiences with students!!!

Hi guys, so far the Committee has been running for about one and a half years; mainly writing documents (Viva experiences, presentation letters, manuals, etc.) and giving the “introduction to Manchester” talk to new students. Moreover, we are currently planning activities of interest for students in their final years. The committee has been continuously restructuring as former members graduate. Now with the Committee starting a new phase, we are aiming to create environments for the students to interact with each other such as workshops, talks and this blog.​

I believe everyone can participate ​​and interact with other students. Sometimes when a student is starting his/her studies they think that they do not have anything to share with others and when they are about to finish their studies then they might not find enough time to spend meeting/helping other students. However, if everyone makes a little effort I am sure that everyone will enhance their experience from an cademic and personal perspective.

This blog is a tool for all of us to share recommendations/advice that you would have liked someone to have told you when you first started your studies; an experience from an international conference you attended; a happy/sad moment you experienced in your research or in your everyday living in Manchester. I hope you find this tool interesting and please contact the Committee if you would like to write on it.
