I think studying in Manchester is such a great opportunity that offers many advantages that can be better harnessed if you have the support of more experienced people that at the same time have your same origins or background. I find in the Student Committee of the Latin American Postgraduate Programme an excellent environment to interact with my fellows and to help them in their academic development trying to make the best of our international experience.

“I did my MSc in the Faculty of Humanities in 2013. Came without any real involvement with the LAPP and had a hard time adapting. Nevertheless, I fell in love with the UK and the university so decided to come back for a PhD after a year of living in Mexico. This time I come as a part of LAPP and want to take a more active approach in engaging other students who felt as lost as I did when I first came here and support them in any way I can.”

I studied my Msc at Alliance Manchester Business School in 2012 and I came back in 2015 to start my PhD studies. I really want to help other international students to get over some of the hurdles I encountered when first arriving here. The University of Manchester is a great place to study, quite renowned and with many opportunities to take advantage of. The city is quite open to a multicultural experience that helps enhance the academic journey of every student.
