SCLAPP

By the middle of the year 2014, there were nearly 200 members part of the Latin American Postgraduate Programme (LAPP) established at the University of Manchester. All of them, even when carrying research on a wide range of scientific areas, identified similar inquiries and areas of opportunity to work together in order to increase their academic performance. As a result of these initial efforts, it was created the SCLAPP.

Vision

To become a committee recognised for the transparency in its processes and the strict accordance with the appropriate legal frameworks, always accessible to all students. An effective committee that advices students and creates links between students-researchers and academy-industry-government. Links intended to enhance and encourage professional relationships and collaboration between LAPP members, scientific community and general society.

Mission

The Student Committee of the Latin American Postgraduate Programme (SCLAPP) of the University of Manchester is the representation intended to strengthen the performance of the students in their research through the promotion of the student rights and the access to better study and research conditions, ensuring certainty, legality and transparency within the applicable legal frameworks.
